Big News! Safaricom and Vodacom collaborated to bid for the Ethiopia telecom license that will open this month. The bid is alleged to cost over $1 billion. Interesting!

Have you heard? In a bid to put both hubs on a growth and self-sustainability path, Bosun Tijani the CEO of CcHub and iHub revealed plans to open up both hubs to the American market.

Guess what? The Tanzanian Telecommunications Corporation Limited (TTCL) signed a deal with Burundi Backbone Systems (BBS) to extend its broadband connectivity to Burundi.  

Also, South Africa-based company, Vantage Capital has invested €8million Mezzanine fund in Equity Invest S.A, a tech funding company based in Morocco. The fund will be used to reinforce the market position and growth of Equity Invest in Morocco.

Finally, the Ugandan government has instructed telecom operators to list stakes on the Uganda Securities Exchange. The Telcos are to list a minimum of 20% of their shares within the next two years. What do you think?
