Africa Fintech Foundry calls for $10,000 Pitch Submission

The Africa Fintech Foundry has called for pitch submissions for the second edition of its annual conference; “Digital Goldrush; Building a Sustainable Tech Economy”. Interested participants are required to send in a pitch of no more than a 5-page slide. The winner will get 10,000 USD at the end of the competition.

The Africa FinTech Foundry (AFF) accelerator program is an annual program that admits six technology start-ups a year. It is a Pan-African accelerator aimed at inspiring, mentoring and investing funding into growth stage technology start-ups operating primarily in the FinTech space. This year’s conference, which will hold on March 28, 2019, promises to bring startups, investors and tech enthusiasts together.

In 2017, it organized a 48 hour hackathon titled ‘Recode Nigeria”. Voice IT start-up emerged winner of Africa Fintech Foundry (AFF) hackathon sponsored by Access Bank. The bouquet of prizes the winning team received include N1.5 million cash from Access Bank, one year access to IBM Bluemix artificial intelligence platform worth over N10 million, one year access to Microsoft BizSpark developer toolkit worth over N6 million plus mentoring from the AFF team.

During its //Re:Code Nigeria Hackathon 2018 themed “Data Hack”, Team Cosmo Constelation (C-Stella) emerged winners. The team was part of the 115 multiple teams of talented developers, designers, problem solvers, out-of-the-box thinkers, and code magicians that participated in the event.

 //Re:Code Nigeria Hackathon is an annual tech competition that brings together software developers in Nigeria to collaborate on thematic problems and provide innovative solutions to help resolve the country’s financial services industry challenges.

The Africa FinTech Foundry (AFF) accelerator conference has assured the presence of investors, tech enthusiast and startups this year. There will be room for companies and startups to pitch and exhibit.
