Google has announced a Sh100 million grant to train over 100,000 Kenyan smallholder farmers in digital skills. Google also launched Street View and Motorbike Mode on Google Maps for the first time ever in Africa.

Coinfirm, together with Nigerian based KAD ICT Hub and Africa Blockchain Lab have launched a dedicated subnetwork of the AMLT Network. AMLT Network was launched along with an educational project in which potentially, thousands of Nigerians will be trained on how to find, report, and be rewarded for submitting data on cryptocurrency related scams and fraud.

The family of Microsoft Corp. co-founder, Paul Allen announced his demise on Monday at the age of 65. Allen died from complications of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer. We wish his family strength and him, perfect rest.

Finally, Kenyan Mobile Phone Users Rise to 45.5 million… The number of mobile service subscriptions in Kenya rose to 45.5 million in the second quarter to 30 June from 44.1 million reported in March. This is an increase of 13.2 percent from 40.2 million on 30 June 2017.
