14 AFRICAN STARTUPS CHOSEN TO TRAVEL ACROSS EUROPE IN CCHUB’S PITCHDRIVE - Techgistafrica

The Co-creation Hub or CcHub, is Nigeria’s leading social innovation center in partnership with Google for Entrepreneurs.

They have announced the 14 startups that will be participating in PitchDrive. The purpose of PitchDrive is to give startups global exposure over the course of three weeks and visiting five European cities in a tech hub tour across London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Zurich, and Paris.

The aim of this exposure is to help these startups raise €20M in funding from investors. The 14 elite startups were chosen from a total of 118 African startups who were looking to gain Series A Funding.

The chosen startups will be able to pitch to investors to gain funding, expand their international opportunities, learn about different cutting edge frontier technology markets and learn more about their competitors from both the African and European continents.

The event will start in London on the 14th of August 2017. The tour will include the destinations of Google’s Campus London, TQ Amsterdam, Factory Berlin, Impact Hub in Zurich, and finally NUMA Paris, which will conclude the tour.

PitchDrive is the first of its kind to open African startups to European investors through a tour. Upon completing the tour, the startups will have pitched their business to over 300 investors.

Bosun Tijani, the founder and CEO of CcHub, states that the tour not only provides amazing opportunities for the startups, but also to investors. He hopes that the turnout will result in many capital deals for the 14 startups.

The program will provide all travel, accommodation, and visa support for the startups attending.
