14 North African Startups to Compete in MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition

14 North African startups have attained the semifinal stage of the MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competitions. The startup will compete with 26 other semifinalists. 

Currently, in its 13th edition, the Arab Startup Competition (ASC) is a yearly competition initiated by the MIT Enterprise Forum to empower tech entrepreneurs. The competition also seeks to create a viable ecosystem that is filled with innovation and entrepreneurship. 

The competition categorizes entrepreneurs into Ideas, startups and social entrepreneurship tracks. The winning team gets $120,000 equity free fund. 

Also, the winning startups will get training, mentorship, coaching, media exposure, and great networking opportunities.

The Startups will be competing with other semifinalists. They will participate in a preparatory Bootcamp in Abdullah University of Science and Technology Saudi Arabi between the 1st and 3rd of March 2020.

The 14 selected startups include:

PraxiLabs (Egypt): The Edtech startup developed a 3D virtual science lab that aims to make students understand physics, chemistry and biology experiments.
