Vodacom South Africa Offers Apple Device Enrollment Programme

Vodacom has partnered with Apple to become the first Telco in South Africa to offer access to the Device Enrollment Programme (DEP) to its customers. The program will ensure that all businesses offered with any Apple device is secured, set up and configured correctly.

Anthon Muller Vodacom’s Executive Head for Enterprise Mobility Service said, “We understand that customers need an easier way to manage and secure their business devices. The Apple DEP provides automated wireless setup and automatic registration into a Mobile Device Management (MDM) of choice. DEP updates and shortens device deployments and as well, maintain the security and management of devices like the iPhones, Apple Macs and iPads. Meaning customers can configure their devices without touching them.

This allows organisations; activate supervised mode over the air, continue exercising supervisory privileges over time, Simplify the end user’s initial experience within Apple’s Setup Assistant, enforce MDM enrolment within Setup Assistant.
