AfriLabs Annual Gathering 2019 to Hold in Addis Ababa

AfriLabs is set to hold the fourth edition of its AfriLabs Annual Gathering. Set for the 28th-30th of October 2019, the AfriLab annual Gathering will be holding in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The pan African Tech innovation hub network announced the date last week.  

The AfriLabs Annual Gathering is an event that looks to provide a unique opportunity for tech hubs in the AfriLabs network and other stakeholders in the African tech ecosystem like local innovators (entrepreneurs), corporates, investors, academia and developmental agencies- with aims to convene, network and share knowledge.

The 4th edition of the AfriLabs Annual Gathering is will be co-hosted by AfriLabs hub members; Tech Village, xHub and Iceaddis as a main support hub in Ethiopia. This year’s theme of the event is ‘Connect: Towards an Integrated Innovation Ecosystem’. The gathering will feature panel discussions, keynote addresses, presentation sessions, multiple parallel workshops, local ecosystem tour, networking sessions, and open floor exhibitions.

Afrilabs said this year’s gathering will host over 350 leaders and decision makers and will focus on connecting players of the African innovation and entrepreneurship community. “The main goal will be to build collaborative and sustainable systems and create synergies that will pave the way for the African innovation ecosystem to thrive and develop the African continent.”

Driving Investment for African Startups and Job Creation Through Entrepreneurship.

Research to Innovation: Bridging the Gap between Research Institutions, Universities and Hubs.

Strengthening National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystems.

Integrating the Corporate and Innovation Ecosystem: A Collaborative Approach.

A Dialogue: Creative and Technology Spaces.

The Role of the Media in Promoting the African Innovation Ecosystem and Working with Hubs for Insight.

Other sessions facilitated by AfriLabs hub members and partners.
