Andela Launches “Power of X” Campaign to Hire New Developers

Andela, a technology training and outsourcing company, has launched the “Power of X” campaign in a bid to hire experienced developers. This was revealed during a press conference meeting on May 21st, 2019.  

 

According to Jolomi Otumarwa – Program Director at Andela, the Andela Learning Community trains developers because software engineers are not enough in Africa. The company which previously admit intending developers with little or no experience is now opening doors to experienced software engineers. The engineers will be able to join Andela without having to go through the boot camp.

Speaking about the campaign title, Omawale David Ashiru, Country Director of Andela Nigeria, explained that ‘X’ represents limitless multiples of 10. “For us, X is limitless so it doesn’t have to be 10, it can be 100 or 1000,” he said.

The “Power of X” campaign is a platform for developers across all experience levels to build their skills to global standards. Andela plans to hire more than 500 engineers through the campaign. The program is opened to experienced mid-level or senior Engineers to apply.
