Application Now Open for the Fourth Cohort of Injini Edtech Incubator Program

Applications are ongoing for the fourth cohort of Injini Africa’s Edtech Incubator and seed investment programme. The 5-month cohort will comprise of 8 edtech startups from across Africa. Selected startups will be offered financial and advisory resources in the course of the incubator program scheduled to hold from March to August 2020.

 

The program has incubated 24 edtech startups across South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and Zambia. 

The startups are connected to a network of experts in education, tech and entrepreneurship. Injini provides the necessary support needed for startups to scale and maximize their impact.

Injini was officially launched in August 2017 to positively impact edtech startups in Africa. It is a Cape Town-based edtech incubator which supports edtechs that leverage technology to proffer innovative solution.

 

Eligibility criteria for Injini Incubator include:

 

During the incubator, each startup will work with experts in the edtech sector and will receive a grant of R100000 to develop their businesses. Injini may invest up to R1 million for equity in a startup that performs well and has growth potentials. It also covers the cost of international and domestic flights for startups to attend the incubator in Cape Town.
