The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) calls for 2019 AFD digital challenge

The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) is receiving applications for the 2019 AFD Digital Africa Challenge. It is opened for startups working on projects that promote the development of sustainable cities in Africa.

AFD Digital Africa Challenge aligns with the United Nations 11th Sustainable Development Goal – ‘the creation of sustainable cities and commodities’. It supports startups by giving them access to resources, businesses and an opportunity to collaborate with the European innovation ecosystem.

AFD Digital Africa Challenge is divided into the following categories;

At the closure of the application, 10 winners will be nominated to receive €20,000, access to a tailor-made support ‘Acceleration Pack’ program and international visibility. The deadline for submission is the 18th of November 2019. Interested startups can apply here.
