Estonian on-demand transport company, Bolt has launched Bolt for Business to enable companies in South Africa effectively cater for staff on-duty trips. Companies can register and set up employees account, view all trip activities and customize their business account.

According to Gareth Taylor, Country Manager for Bolt South Africa, the Bolt for Business was launched after noticing the growing number of Bolt trips taken for business purposes during work hours. The digitized travel management solution saves businesses time and money.

Bolt for Business will be available on the mobile and web interface.  Corporate organizations will be able to manage the employee’s trip from a single dashboard instead of reimbursing each individual at the end of a trip.  Organizations can also customize and set ground rules on how staff can use the Bolt for Business platform. They can generate reports and review trip activities on the dashboard.

The ride-hailing industry is very competitive in South Africa due to unreliable public transport and high cost of vehicles. Bolt is not the only one with the business service solution. Uber was the first to launch its Uber for Business in South Africa in April 2019. They are both major e-hailing platforms in Africa, meeting the transport needs of the growing population. Bolt for Business is now available in more than 30 markets across Europe and Africa.
