Cars45 has ventured into the Ghanaian and Kenyan markets. This move is preceded by the  $400 million Series D funding round  secured by its parent company Frontier Car Group (FCG).

Cars45 is a used car online marketplace that functions under FCG. The company allows customers to buy, sell and swap their cars after undergoing the Cars45 Grade A-E process.

Frontier Car Group is operational across 10 countries. The company is primarily active across emerging markets where the majority cannot afford brand new cars.

According to Etop Ikpe, CEO and co-founder of Cars45, “We want to connect buyers and sellers across the continent in the most seamless way, taking the stress out of the trading experience. After successfully establishing ourselves in Nigeria, expanding into Ghana and Kenya made perfect sense as the ideal next step as we build a transparent and fair structure for trading cars on the continent.”

Cars45 leverages its grading process, inspections and grading of listed vehicles to stand out from other used car dealers in the market. The company’s Grade A-E reveals the condition of the vehicles to prospective customers. Thereby making it easy for them to choose effectively.

Etop Ikpe also noted that the process of buying and selling cars today can be complicated, time-consuming and needlessly expensive. “We want to put an end to that by providing an easy and convenient way for consumers across Africa to make what is often the most significant financial transaction of their lives,” he said.

Ghanaians and Kenyans can access the Cars45 service via  www.cars45.com.gh  and  www.cars45.com.ke.
