Google has announced to display COVID-19 health and safety measures information on its Google travel booking service.
This means when searches are made for a hotel on the platform, Information regarding the safety measures of that hotel will be displayed.
The details of this information include cleaning procedures, contact-free check-in measures, and so on.
However, the hotels displaying this information currently are partnered with google travel- Hilton, Radisson, Four Seasons, Hyatt, Best Western, Marriott, Comfort Inn, and Holiday Inn.
Google has also decided to collaborate with vacation rental services and travel agents soon.
Although the list is limited, other hotels can add their establishment and its COVID-19 health and safety measures on a new tool, Google My Business. This new feature and information are only displayed on the google travel platform.
