Iflix, the Video-On-Demand streaming site, that distributes Western and Asian video contents has launched its service in Ghana. The launch was in a bid to offer Ghanaians world-class entertainment on the go.
Iflix is a digital hosting and distribution platform that airs western and Asian dramas. The dramas aired on their site are gotten from their partnership with 150 studios and content distributors worldwide. Some of these are Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Disney, Warner Bros, Paramount, NBC Universal, Fox, CBS, BBC, Sony Pictures and Discovery.
Iflix live streaming in Ghana will make the company share the most diversified on-demand video collections, especially those of African origin. The collection will also portray a good mix of Hollywood, Ghallywood, and Nollywood movies, including television series and different children’s content.
Speaking on the launch, Abner Briandt, Iflix Ghana Country Manager said the launch will revolutionize the Ghanaian entertainment consumption level as they can now stream videos at an affordable price.

The launch will also make Iflix fans get an extensive library of Ghanaian dramas and shows like African Tales, Bleeding heart, Woo Ta Ta Me, Bitter Chocolate, Rainstorm, Almighty, Beyond the Cottage, Silent Moment and Jupiter Rising.
Iflix will also offer one-month unlimited access to Iflix TV shows and movies for Ghanian at Ghc 10.75 ($1.96). The annual subscribers will receive a 33% discount at Ghc86 ($15.71).
In other news, the number of videos offered to Iflix users in Kenya will increase, as they will now have access to movies like Goblin, Legend of the Blue Sea, and regional hit series like Nigeria Jenifa’s Diary, High Rollers and Maseko Ties.
Before the Ghana launch, Iflix has been airing in Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Brunei, the Maldives, Pakistan, Vietnam, Myanmar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, Cambodia, Nigeria, and Kenya.
