In simple terms, the IoT refrigerators and coolers are connected to the internet to provide information about food temperature, settings, location, etc.

The IoT coolers can also be tracked by distributors who will be able to evaluate its usage, location, and optimal temperature.

There are also speculations that Safaricom will introduce IoT for Smart water metering and for tracking animals in the future.
