Huawei has shipped 6.9 million units of 5G smartphones in 2019. The figure was announced by the Huawei Business Consumer Group last weekend.
Huawei’s launch of 5G smartphones in 2019 brought high hopes to the smartphone market. The accelerated speed, a commercial deployment that is faster than ever and tremendous growth led to the launch of several 5G gadgets.

Huawei was swift in making phones and gadgets using 5G technology. Examples include the Mate30 5G series to Mate X 5G, Mate 20 X 5G, Nova 6 5G. and Honor V30 Series.
Huawei and Honor take 53.9% of the global 5G market in 2019. This also includes the end-to-end 5G solutions market.
Also, the sales reflect Huawei’s relentless commitment to 5G R&D and reinforce its leadership in 5G technology. It also showed strength by surviving the trade war between the US and China.
Meanwhile, the figures imply that its smartphones were on-demand, despite the decline in the Chinese mobile phone market. Huawei sold a total of 240 million smartphones in 2019. A 34,000000 increase from the initial 206,000000 sold in 2018.
The recent figures currently place Huawei in par with Apple and Samsung electronics in the tech market. We hope to see Huawei maintain this growth and expand in the coming years.
