WarnerMedia set to Roll Out New Streaming Service

WarnerMedia, an AT&T-owned American multinational mass media and entertainment company, is set to launch its streaming service. They revealed that the new service will be called HBO Max. They will leverage this service to rollout on-demand video content and original content just like Netflix and Hulu.

The company made the announcement on the 9th of July 2019. They also released a list of shows they will be airing on the platform. Shows like; Cartoon Network, Warner Bros, Rooster Teeth, The CW, Adult Swim, and Looney Tune.

According to Robert Greenblatt, chairman, WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-To-Consumer, HBO Max will leverage its experience and skills to create programming and unique user experiences.

HBO Max will have exclusive streaming rights to all 236 episodes of “Friends, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Pretty Little Liars, Batwoman, and Katy Keene– a spinoff of Riverdale.

They also have new exclusive movie production deals with Greg Berlanti and Reese Witherspoon. WarnerMedia plans to also roll out contents produced by Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning actress and producer; Berlanti and Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine.
