Facebook also announced the opening of their Pop-up Store in partnership with Macy stores in the USA — the first of its kind for any social media platform.
For their popups in these stores, Facebook will be showcasing products from their 100 “most loved” small and digital native brands on both Instagram and Facebook. The Pop Ups will occur at nine Macy locations which include New York, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, San Antonio, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.
This announcement was made in anticipation of Black Friday, November 23, 2018 and will run through the Holidays season to February 2019. Different products will be added to the Pop up— these include burger sauces, clothing, subscription boxes out of many others. According to information received, the pop-ups will be featured for free with no profit to Facebook.
