The Nokia 5.1 Plus smartphone released in July 2018 was made available in South Africa on Tuesday, 5th February.

The octa-core processor of Nokia 5.1 Plus is the most advanced chip from Media Tek Helio P60. It was modelled with optimized power consumption for gaming, video or multi-tasking applications. The advanced Artificial Intelligence chipset enables deep-learning, face recognition and real time photo enhancement.

The dual 13MP/5MP rear sensor with electronic video stabilization helps user film steady and focused videos and the Phase Detection Auto focus produces clear and sharp pictures. The device comes in Glacier White, Gloss Black and Gloss Midnight blue.
South Africans can now enjoy the latest features of the smartphone including Google Lens, Picture-in-Picture for multitasking, Google Play, App Actions, Digital Wellbeing exclusive to Android One Phones.
Android 9 Pie upgrade for Nokia 5.1 Plus ensures that the smartphone stays up-to-date with three years of monthly security patches and 2 years of guaranteed Operating System updates after lunch.
