Samsung Galaxy S10 Review

Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy S10 series after its last release of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ in March 2018. The Samsung Galaxy S10 was launched on the 20th of February 2019. It is still on pre-order for $899 dollars and will be available for purchase on the 8th of March 2019.

The phone comes in the colors of prism black, prism blue, prism green and prism white.

The S10 comes with a 6.1 inch touch screen display and an aspect ratio 19.9 unlike the S9 that is 5.8 inches. It is powered by a 1.99GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 9820 SoC processor. It is water proof and it also features a dynamic AMOLED screen display that is easy on the eyes. It is curved around the edges.

It has a 3.5 mil head phone jack, a USB type C charging slot and a stereo speaker at the bottom. On the right side it has the power button, the SIM Card and SD Card Slot and microphone at the top, and the volume bar on the left.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 runs on the One UI software (Android 9.0) and is powered by a 3,500mAh non-removable battery. It supports wireless charging.

Unlike the Galaxy S9 that has a finger print sensor and a 12 megapixel rear camera at the back, the S10 is powered with an in display finger print at the front and 3 rear cameras- widen lens, ultra widen lens and a telephoto (12 –megapixel f/1.5 aperture primary camera, a second 12 –megapixel f/2.4 aperture and a third 16 –megapixel camera f/2.2 aperture.) The rear camera setup has phase detection autofocus. It sports a 10-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/1.9 aperture. The front camera also features autofocus.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 runs One UI based on Android 9.0 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 512GB). The Samsung Galaxy S10 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Samsung Galaxy S10 supports face unlock and also supports a 5G network.
