Guess what? KiwiPay, a Laos-based payment solution provider that gives SMEs access to digitize their payments via the provision of a dynamic QR code solution, plans to expand to 7 African countries. KiwiPay aims to leverage this move to foster its global expansion. Interesting right?

Drum roll! In a bid to foster trust, LinkedIn – professional social network platform has rolled out a skill assessment feature. This feature will allow recruiters to validate the skills listed by potential employees on the platform. Awesome!

Next, on the Big 5, US-based mobile lending platform Tala, has shut down its services in Tanzania. The company blamed the shut down on legal reasons and urged its customers that are still indebted to offset their bills. 

Also, Vodacom Tanzania has launched a Supa Network campaign that aims to inform Tanzanians on the quality and benefits of its network. The company consequently invested about $1.6 billion in technology that will expand its 4G coverage in the country. 

Finally, Mobile Broadband Limited Zambia is set to sell. The company is calling on all interested parties to participate in the open bidding tender for this sale. All interested bidders should visit the Business Rescue Administrator and inspect the Bidding Documents at Business Rescue Administrator, 257 Kaleya Road, Roma, Lusaka Zambia between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m or send an email to luwita.sayila@icloud.com. Bidding opens on the 27th of September 2019.
