The TechMoney Africa Summit event which was held in the University of Lagos, Nigeria, commenced on the 10th of June 2019 and ended on the 11th of June 2019. The event aimed to buttress the ways through which technology could leverage investments and capital to solve Africa’s problems. The first gist of the day is from Multichoice. ShowMax, an on-demand video company owned by Multichoice is test-running its live TV  sports streaming service. The feature is available on trial to restricted subscribers across Africa.

Careem a ride-hailing company, has acquired Cyacle to offer yet another transport option for customers in the Middle East and Africa. This acquisition will result in an increase in the availability of bike-sharing service and job creation in the region.

Finally, Huawei has canceled the launch of its new PC due to issues surrounding the US ban. They indefinitely postponed the launch of their computer because they no longer have access to Microsoft’s Windows Operating System and Intel’s processors.
