Uber has launched a new feature called ‘Speeds’ in Kenya, USA, and the UK. The ‘Speeds’ feature will help city planners to address traffic and other transportation challenges. This is part of the Uber Movement project that accumulates speed data on street segments for urban areas.
The next gist is about cybersecurity. Vox Telecom, a South Africa-based telecommunication company have launched a firewall service for small and medium enterprises. The firewall technology will reduce the risk of security breach into the private network servers of enterprises.
Good news! MTN Nigeria will finally list on the Nigeria Stock Exchange board. We initially reported that the shares will be listed at 2 kobos but MTN has decided to increase it to N90 per share. Permit me to say that they have ‘fulfilled all righteous requirements’ in order to list.
At the Transform Africa Summit, the President of Kenya unveiled the Digital Economy Blueprint. He urged the Smart Africa Alliance to adopt it in all 24 member states. The Digital Economy blueprint is a framework launched by the Kenyan government to guide the establishment of a sustainable digital economy.
