Dubai Innovation Impact Grant is an initiative of EXPO Live, organized towards the upcoming Dubai Expo 2020. The initiative provides startups with funds to accelerate and promote creative solutions to preserve the planet.

The initiative uses its $100million fund provided by the Dubai Expo as grants to sponsor programmes, innovation, and collaboration among startups. It will also serve as a springboard to provide global exposure for the selected startups.

Speaking on the initiative, Jana Elkova, the Expo Live Manager said this year’s accelerator programme will focus more on African startups from Angola, Algeria, and Tunisia.

She also emphasised that fund will be provided according to the maturity, capacity to implement projects, and the level of impact the startup will contribute to the community.

The theme of the initiative is categorized under the criteria of opportunity, mobility, and sustainability. Established startups and multi-year initiatives will also receive partial funding against certain criteria set by the programme.

Application for the programme is currently open and is meant to close on the 15th of September. Startups that are selected for the programme will participate in the Dubai EXPO 2020 and Gitex Technology Week– the biggest tech show in the Middle East, North Africa & South Asia. Interested?
