The much-anticipated iPhones of 2019 are finally here. Apple unveiled the iPhone 11 Series during its annual launch event held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. These phones might help revive their fallen iPhone sales of over the past year.

iPhone 11 Gold

The series are – iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. These phones are the upgraded versions of the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max, respectively.

Untypical of Apple, the price of the iPhone 11 was announced to be sold for $699, compared to the iPhone XR which sold at $749. The iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max will sell at $999 and $1099 respectively. That’s a huge slash in price, given the upgrades and unparallel features of the iPhone 11 Series. And this time around, Apple has saved us the stress of identifying phones with Roman Numerals.

Unboxing our latest Apple babies

All three phones have a lot of similarities and are very identical. Just like the name implies, I guess it would take a Pro to spot the difference!

The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max are bigger than the iPhone 11. The duo has a triple rear camera set while the latter has only two rear cameras. You would also find a front camera on the top left of the phones. All three phones and portable, water-resistant and comfortable to grip. The body texture is awesome, sides are curved in on all four corners. It is comfortable to handle, smooth feel and can be easily operated with one hand. You would get beyond the worth of your money (except the phones are not 5G enabled!).

iPhone 11

Although iPhone 11 is more affordable, it didn’t miss out of its share of awesomeness. You can choose to either get the purple, white, yellow, green, black and red variants. The 6.1-inch phone comes with a dual rear camera system for taking ultra-wide shots and a 2X optical zoom (both front and rear camera can be used to shoot 4K videos).

iPhone 11 Pro green

The night mode for taking natural and well-lit pictures in the dark. The side borders have this smooth aluminium feel and the entire body is covered in a tough solid glass. What’s more, it is both water and dust resistant. Don’t be scared to take your iPhone 11 swimming (as long as you don’t go beyond 2 meters depth for up to 30 minutes).

The new features include an anodized aluminium body, Dolby Atmos-enabled audio for an immersive theatre experience, and an A13 Bionic processor. Did I mention that the battery lasts long? Yes, you can have 12 hours of continued use which lasts an hour longer than the iPhone XR.

iPhone Pro for PROs!

iPhone 11 Pro Max green

For the first time, Apple is using the term “Pro” to name its iPhones. The iPhone 11 Pro is 5.8 inches while the 11 Pro Max is 6.5-inch long. You can find both in midnight green, space grey, silver, and gold colours. The phones are made of matte finish steel with glassy borders. Both come with three rear camera lenses – wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto. The lens bump pack is coated with premium glass. You can also swim with the Pro iPhones for as deep as 4 meters in 30 minutes.

Again, Apple has met its part of the deal by offering more battery life. The iPhone Pro and Pro Max would last up to 4 and 5 hours respectively longer than the iPhone XS. Each also comes with an 18-watt adapter for fast charging.

What trips me the most is the clever camera set. It automatically switches to ultra-wide when you adjust the orientation for Selfies. It can also recognize when you are shooting in the dark and automatically switches to night mode whenever you are not making use of the ultra-wide camera. Finally, enjoy shooting Slofies! Yes, you can shoot Slo-mo Selfies with your front camera. Wow!!!
