5 African Startups get Shortlisted for AfricaCom AHUB Pitch & Win Programme

Five Africa tech startups have been shortlisted in the AfricaCom AHub Pitch & Win programme. These were selected amongst other startups that sent their video pitches to AHUB.

The five startups include;

Greenfingers Mobile (GFM) – a SaaS startup that promotes transparency in Agri-value chain and digital IDs for small farmers. The startup provides tech service that replaces the traditional means of record keeping and farm management for smallholder farmers.

MiMi Moneyis a peer-to-peer mobile Blockchain technology that aims at reducing loan remittance in Africa while promoting financial inclusion in the Africa continent.

One Kiosk is a tech startup that is reshaping retailing in Africa. The startup connects customers to merchants in their geographical locations.

Rainmaker  is a tourism and industry startup that seamlessly connects hospitality and tourism businesses in Africa together.  The startup runs the VISTA, a leading Destination Network Open Platform, and Ecosystem that connects startup in the tourism sector together.

WIPO- This is an energy tech startup that provides a wireless powered solution that charges drone, electric forklift, robots, and mobile batteries without the need for human interaction.

AfricaCom’s AHUB is designed to highlight the critical role of entrepreneurship in fueling Africa’s digital economy. It seeks to connect the African tech start-ups with investors and corporate partners. 

The shortlisted five that got selected for the video pitch they sent to AHUB and will be voted by the public for the foremost winner to emerge. The most voted innovation becomes the overall winner. 

All five will be awarded consultation with GSMA’s startup experts, introduced to investors, and provided with a platform for enterprises and peers to pitch their ideas on the AHUB startup stage. The winners will also be given two-way access passes to AfricaCom 2019 conference and AFest, the AfricaCom’s official networking party.
