Big news! Africa leading tech-enabled payment platform Interswitch Limited has acquired a 60% stake in E’Clat, a Nigeria-based health tech startup. They will leverage the deal to boost Africa’s healthcare delivery.
Guess what? AlphaCode has awarded Johannesburg-based property tech company, Jamii Cities the sum of R450000 grant funding. Jamii Cities received the funding after participating in AlphaCode Incubate cohort.
Drum roll! Rwanda has revealed plans to exploit its satellite data for national growth. The satellite, RWASAT-1 will be deployed to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) from the International Space Station (ISS) on the 18th of November 2019.
Also, Sendy, an on-demand delivery service startup based in Kenya secured $2 million to expand its services across East Africa. The startup intends to boost and expand its services across and outside of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Finally, the social media giant, ‘Facebook’ has introduced a new company logo for its brand. The logo will help differentiate the parent company Facebook from the Facebook app and other sub-apps of the company.
