Big news! Nigeria’s Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters have held the public hearing for its Social Media Bill. The public hearing which had 62 representatives across civil society groups, government & private institutions, media, etc. saw the bill rejected by 60 of the attendees and accepted by 2 institutions.
Guess what? The 10th edition of the Orange Social Venture Prize is now open. The competition owned by Orange, the French telecommunication company, is calling on startups with tech projects that will boost life for Africans and people in the Middle East to apply. The startups’ solutions should cut across, edutech, healthtech, agritech, fintech or sustainable development. Applications close the 5th of June 2020. Click here to apply.
