Big news! Jack Ma has sent important kits that will help African countries combat the Covid-19 virus. The entrepreneur giant sent 1.1 million test kits, 6 million face masks and 60,000 protective suits to Africa.
Still on Africa and Covid-19 news, Jumia’s strategy will help African governments contain the spread of the virus. The e-commerce giant revealed their plans to offer last-mile delivery network to African health workers, by delivering the necessary kits and supplies to them.

Next, Ventures Platform and the Lagos State Science Research and Innovation Council (LASRIC) has partnered to find innovative ways to curb the COVID-19 virus. They will leverage the partnership to provide funding and operational assistance to select startups who can develop means to combat the virus.
Also, the African Tech and Creative Group have created business support locations across ten countries in Africa. This development aligns with their preparation for the African Continental Free Trade Area. The locations will be utilized towards providing business information, innovation, and partnership support to African entrepreneurs.
Finally, Google’s Project Loon is ready! The project which has been in the works for over two years by Google and Telkom Kenya has been approved by the Communications Authority of Kenya. The Duo will deploy the balloons and leverage it to beam 4G signals to network under-served areas in Central Kenya.
