With 40 years of successful business operations, Farmer’s Choice, Kenya, has recently announced their plans to adopt more sustainable farming practices within its existing agriculture ecosystem and digitalize its business services with the adoption of cloud services provided by Microsoft Azure. Flora Kinuthia, CIO of Farmer’s Choice, said “Customers are our priority, and we owe them quality excellence.
We need to ensure we stay efficient in terms of pricing, wastage, and the use of products in the factory. Therefore, food traceability is especially important to us.”
The Senior Database Administrator at Farmer’s Choice, Eric Muga, further explained the business process efficiency, accuracy, additional income, and significant cost savings from overheads and IT infrastructure that the cloud solution from Microsoft offers the organization.
He also added how the adoption of Dynamics 365 Business Central will enhance the communication flow between the managers and field staff.
According to Annie Mugumo, Management Accountant at Farmer’s Choice, “We can move fast through operations, updating the system in real-time.
We give our salespeople mobile devices so they can take orders and communicate to customers what products are available on the floor.”
