According to reports, Apple might unveil its foldable iPhone as early as 2026.

This would be the most significant redesign of Apple’s most popular product’s hardware to date.

According to the report, Apple’s foldable iPhone has moved past the conceptualisation phase.

In an attempt to draw in more consumers, Apple’s ambitions to sell a foldable iPhone may be a replica of a similar strategy used by Samsung, which launched the foldable market in 2019.

The Information stated that the corporation has contacted manufacturers in Asia to produce parts for the gadget.

Artificial intelligence-enabled foldable smartphones are predicted to spur demand for the iPhone manufacturer, which is up against fierce competition from Samsung as well as Honour and Huawei.

Earlier in July, Samsung announced its newest foldable smartphones, which have new AI features and a lighter, smaller flagship model.

According to a May Counterpoint Research research, the global foldable smartphone market expanded 49% in the first quarter from a year earlier, which was its highest pace of growth in six quarters. Huawei dethroned Samsung to take the top rank for the first time.

According to the Information article, Apple also intends to update the camera on at least one iPhone model, enabling users to adjust the aperture’s size via a mechanical system and potentially producing a depth-of-field effect.

According to the report, Apple’s decision to deliver the foldable iPhone is not guaranteed.

Apple is yet to comment on the report.
