Egyptian startup Wuilt, a no-code website builder, has raised $2 million in funding to expand its footprint across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The round aims to fuel growth for Wuilt’s free, easy-to-use website builder, empowering businesses and individuals to establish a digital presence without coding knowledge.
Founded in 2019, Wuilt provides an AI-powered, drag-and-drop platform that allows users to build websites in minutes. The startup’s mission is to digitize small and medium businesses (SMEs) in the region, where millions still lack an online presence.
“Digital transformation should not be a privilege. Every business, no matter the size, deserves a simple way to get online,” said Mostafa Ashour, CEO of Wuilt. “This funding will help us expand access to more entrepreneurs and creators across MENA.”
Wuilt has already powered tens of thousands of websites in Egypt and beyond. With this new investment, the company plans to:
- Expand into Saudi Arabia, UAE, and North Africa
- Enhance its AI design and e-commerce features
- Build strategic partnerships with banks and accelerators to support SME digitization
The MENA region’s SME sector makes up over 90% of businesses, yet a large percentage remain offline. By lowering the barriers to digital entry, Wuilt is helping businesses reach customers, sell online, and compete globally.
Wuilt’s $2M raise is more than just funding, it’s a big step toward closing MENA’s digital gap, ensuring small businesses don’t get left behind in the online economy.
