Saudi healthtech startup Nuxera AI has raised $2.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Sanabil Venture Studio in partnership with Redesign Health. This investment aims to accelerate the development of Nuxera’s Arabic-first AI platform, designed to streamline clinical workflows in Saudi Arabia’s healthcare sector.
Founded in 2024 by Amin El Hemaily, Asad Khan, and Nada Hassan, Nuxera AI focuses on addressing the unique challenges of Arabic-speaking healthcare providers. The company’s flagship product, SERA, utilizes natural language processing to capture and transcribe doctor-patient conversations in 28 Arabic dialects. SERA then generates structured medical notes coded in SNOMED, ACHI, SBS, and ICD-10, reducing documentation time by over 70%. Additionally, Nuxera’s “Talk to Your Data” engine allows hospital leaders to query clinical, operational, and financial insights in plain Arabic, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
The newly acquired capital will be utilized to expand Nuxera’s engineering and commercial teams in Saudi Arabia, support hospital-wide deployments, and enhance AI models through clinical collaborations. Sanabil Venture Studio’s involvement provides Nuxera with operational support and deep healthcare expertise, further strengthening the company’s position in the market.
With this funding, Nuxera AI aims to position Saudi Arabia as a global leader in AI-driven healthcare innovation. By developing solutions tailored to the Arabic-speaking medical community, Nuxera is setting new standards for healthcare technology in the region.
