Egyptian startup Nanovate has raised US$1 million in a pre-seed funding round to accelerate development of its Arabic-language artificial intelligence platform.

The Cairo-based company, founded earlier this year by Nancy Madbouly (CTO) and Ahmed Gamal (CEO), is focused on building end-to-end Arabic AI solutions, including voice and chat agents, workflow automations and enterprise tools that support more than 20 Arabic dialects.

The round was led by a group of angel investors (names not publicly disclosed) and comes just nine months after Nanovate’s registration and two months after acquiring its first client.

According to the company, the fresh capital will be used to:

  • Expand into key Gulf markets, particularly Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
  • Scale its AI ecosystem and deepen integrations with business tools such as CRMs and ERPs.
  • Continue R&D in proprietary large-language models (LLMs), voice recognition, sentiment/emotion AI and dashboard interfaces that enable non-technical users to deploy Arabic voice/chat agents.
  • Expand its engineering and go-to-market teams to support its regional growth.

Arabic remains one of the most widely spoken languages globally, yet enterprise AI solutions are often under-optimised for Arabic language and dialects. Nanovate is tapping into this gap with a regional focus and custom dialect capabilities in voice and chat applications.
For the MENA region, this raise signals growing investor interest in “Arabic-first” AI ventures and enterprise-grade solutions tailored to local markets.

With its pre-seed funding secured, Nanovate is positioned to make its mark as an Arabic-native AI innovation player. The next 12–18 months will be critical: success will depend on winning initial clients in the Gulf, demonstrating the platform at scale, and preparing the ground for a potential seed or Series A round as regional traction builds.
