South African mobile Company Cell C has announced that effective from the 1st of March 2019, its CEO, Jose Dos Santos will step down. They will announce an interim CEO soon. Cell C is a mobile service operator in South Africa.
Jose Dos Santos will take over as a consultant offering strategic advice to the Chairman of the Cell C Board. He will be in the delivery of Cell C strategic intent. This includes reshaping Cell C’s debt to make sure the company is sustained. An interim CEO will take over until a permanent appointment is announced.

Cell C is a mobile operator in South Africa that launched in November 2001 after Vodacom and MTN launched in 1994. They grew their subscribers from 9 million in 2012 to 20 million in 2015. They also offer 2G, 3G and roaming services to all their subscribers.

He has successfully led Cell C through some of its toughest times, and spearheaded the recapitalisation of the business.
