MEST Africa has officially announced that the 2022 MEST Africa Challenge is now accepting applications.
Technology startups in Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Kenya, and South Africa that are in the pre-seed-to-seed stage are encouraged to submit an application to compete in the regional competitions that will take place in these nations in October of this year.
The MEST Africa Challenge (MAC), which is organized by MEST Africa, a pan-African training program, seed fund, incubator, and hub, is the continent’s premier pitch event for technology businesses aiming to advance in their growth.
Technology start-ups can use the challenge as a platform to acquire money, develop industry networks, and obtain recognition on a global scale that will help them develop and grow their company.
Since the competition’s start, thousands of applications have been submitted from all over the continent. The development of successful firms including Tanzania’s Kilimo Fresh, Ghana’s OZE, South Africa’s Snode Technologies, Kenya’s Waya Waya, and Nigeria’s Accounteer has been highlighted and influenced by it.
From each nation, two finalists will be chosen to compete in the final Demo Day Pitch event, which will take place in Accra, Ghana, for the grand prize of $50,000 in equity.
The 30th of August 2022 is the application deadline.
