The Founder Institute, the world’s largest pre-seed startup accelerator, is now accepting applications for its Cameroon–Lagos Fall 2025 programme. This initiative aims to support aspiring entrepreneurs in Cameroon and Lagos by providing a structured process and lifetime support from top investors and entrepreneurs in both regions.

Program Overview

The accelerator program is designed for idea-stage entrepreneurs and pre-seed startups, offering a comprehensive curriculum that includes:

  • Vision & Mission Development: Crafting a compelling business vision.
  • Customer Development: Understanding and validating customer needs.
  • Revenue & Business Models: Designing scalable and sustainable business models.
  • Pitch Mastery: Preparing for effective investor presentations.
  • Legal & Equity Structuring: Establishing a solid legal foundation.
  • Go-To-Market & Scaling Strategies: Planning for market entry and growth.
  • Product Development Feedback: Refining product offerings based on expert input.
  • Investor Progress Review: Assessing readiness for funding.
  • Co-Founders & Team Building: Strengthening team dynamics.
  • Growth Strategies: Implementing scalable growth tactics.
  • Funding Preparation: Addressing challenges to secure investment.
  • Graduation & Post-Program Support: Celebrating achievements and providing ongoing assistance.

Key Dates

  • Early Application Deadline: September 21, 2025
  • Final Application Deadline: October 26, 2025
  • Accelerator Kickoff: November 11, 2025

Application Process

Prospective applicants are required to complete a written application and undergo the Founder Institute’s Entrepreneur DNA Assessment. This assessment evaluates the skills and traits conducive to entrepreneurial success. The admissions process is rigorous, focusing on the founder’s potential rather than the business idea alone.

Program Format

The program will be conducted primarily online, with optional in-person networking opportunities in the future. This format ensures accessibility for entrepreneurs across both Cameroon and Lagos.

Since its inception in 2009, the Founder Institute has assisted over 8,100 entrepreneurs in raising more than $1.9 billion in funding. With chapters in over 70 cities worldwide, the institute is committed to empowering communities of talented individuals to build impactful technology companies.
