The Google for Startups Africa Accelerator is a 3-month program for seed to Series A technology startups from throughout Africa.
The accelerator was created to deliver the best of Google’s programs, products, people, and technology to entrepreneurs who are already leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence in their businesses or plan to do so in the future.
The Google for Startups Accelerator Africa program was started in 2017 to help African startups grow their businesses.
As well as a mentorship program and assistance with technical projects, the accelerator provides deep dives and workshops on product design as well as customer acquisition and leadership development for founders.
Over the course of the program, 82 firms from 17 African nations have participated, raising over US$117 million in capital and creating over 2,800 employment.
All startups in Africa are eligible to apply to Google for Startups Accelerator Africa.
The application deadline is January 14, 2022.
