The Katapult Africa Accelerator Programme, which will aim to accelerate and invest in agri-tech and climate-tech firms, has been launched in collaboration with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, Norrsken, and Smart Africa.

The Katapult Accelerator, based in Norway, has invested in a number of African entrepreneurs and developed spin-offs like Katapult Ocean and a climate-focused program.

“The Katapult Africa team here in Kigali, Rwanda is all very excited to be working with our program partners TBI, Smart Africa, and Norrsken, as well as engaging with companies, different ecosystem partners, and corporate partners as Katapult launches the Africa Accelerator Program,” said Philip Gasaatura, Katapult country director for Rwanda.

The three-month Katapult Africa Accelerator Programme, which will be operated both physically and digitally from Rwanda, aims to accelerate and invest in up to 15 firms.

Agricultural and food-tech startups, as well as supply chain services, distribution and logistics, and sustainable infrastructure startups are strongly invited to apply.
