Daniel Ek, the owner of Spotify, is planning an offer to buy the English Premier League club, Arsenal Football Club, with former players Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, and Patrick Vieira assisting him.
Stan Kroenke is rumored to be open to Arsenal Football Club for $3.5 billion, but sources say Ek is planning a $3.2 billion offer.
“As a kid growing up, I’ve cheered for Arsenal for as long as I can remember,” Ek, a 38-year-old Swedish billionaire, said in a tweet. I’d be glad to put my hat in the ring if Kroenke wants to sell Arsenal.”
Ek, founded Spotify in 2008, and the company is now valued at about $100 billion.
Despite the fact that Ek has never been involved in the football industry before, he is said to have shown speculative interest in other Premier League clubs in the past.
