Egyptian healthtech startup Duaya has acquired EXMGO, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider specializing in pharmacy solutions, in a six-figure investment deal. This strategic acquisition aims to bolster Duaya’s digital transformation initiatives within the pharmacy sector.

Founded in 2021 by Dr. Ahmed Fazara, Duaya has rapidly established itself as a leading digital healthcare platform in Egypt. The company currently collaborates with over 500 medical suppliers, serving more than 12,000 clients, including pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, and laboratories. With a growth trajectory exceeding 200%, Duaya plans to expand its client base to 25,000 by the end of 2025 and aims to enter the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets by 2026.

The acquisition of EXMGO aligns with Duaya’s mission to provide comprehensive digital solutions for the pharmacy sector. EXMGO’s platform enables pharmacies to create branded applications and websites, facilitating online sales, inventory management, payment processing, and direct customer communication. Following the acquisition, EXMGO has been rebranded as Duaya Go, integrating these capabilities into Duaya’s suite of services.

With the integration of Duaya Go, the company is enhancing its offerings beyond medical supply logistics. Duaya now provides a comprehensive suite of solutions encompassing software tools, artificial intelligence (AI) applications, and direct e-commerce platforms for pharmacies. This expansion positions Duaya as a one-stop platform for healthcare businesses seeking to modernize their operations and engage with customers through digital channels.

Dr. Fazara emphasized that the acquisition reflects Duaya’s commitment to transforming traditional pharmacy operations into efficient, platform-based processes. He stated, “This step will enhance market efficiency and deliver a seamless and professional purchasing experience for customers.”

Looking ahead, Duaya plans to leverage its expanded digital infrastructure to support pharmacies across the GCC region. The company aims to replicate its successful model in Egypt, offering tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of pharmacies in the Gulf markets. This regional expansion underscores Duaya’s ambition to become a leading player in the digital healthcare landscape across the MENA region.
