After successfully closing the $44 billion acquisition of Twitter, Elon Musk promptly fired the company’s top executives, accusing them of deceiving him about the volume of spam accounts on the service.
Musk didn’t waste any time getting things in order once he took over; he fired CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, General Counsel Sean Edgett, and Head of Legal, Trust, and Safety Vijaya Gadde.
According to a Bloomberg report, Musk will temporarily assume the role of CEO before passing the torch to another person.
As CEO, he will be responsible for managing a variety of issues, including barriers to content moderation, user growth, and revenue improvement.
According to Musk, Twitter’s content filtering procedures would be reexamined in the interest of adopting a more realist interpretation of “free speech.”
Many people are interested in seeing how soon Musk can make good on his promise to reinstate former president Donald Trump on the platform.
Nonetheless, since Musk’s takeover, many new doubts have arisen about the future of the social media platform and the numerous sectors of society that are affected by it.
