Pan-African logistics startup Logidoo has announced the acquisition of Kamtar, a leading Ivorian road freight platform, marking a significant step in its strategy to strengthen logistics corridors between North and West Africa. The deal, finalized on October 9, 2025, enhances Logidoo’s hybrid logistics model, combining digital platforms with physical infrastructure to offer integrated transport solutions across the continent.

Founded in 2018, Kamtar operates a digital platform in Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal, connecting over 5,000 transport operators with businesses, including major multinationals and manufacturers. The acquisition allows Logidoo to deepen its operational capabilities along the strategic logistics corridor connecting Morocco to the Ivory Coast, facilitating intra-African trade and exchanges with the rest of the world.

Logidoo’s ecosystem includes an international transport platform, urban delivery service TexMiles, logistics software suite Afridoo, and B2B marketplace Doomaket. By integrating Kamtar, Logidoo aims to offer more integrated, reliable, and competitive transport solutions, expanding its regional coverage and reinforcing its position as a major player in modern logistics on the continent.

This acquisition reflects a broader trend in Africa’s logistics sector, where startups are opting to acquire competitors or complementary businesses to accelerate growth and enhance service offerings. Logidoo’s strategic move underscores its commitment to building a seamless and interconnected logistics network across Africa.

The integration of Kamtar is expected to bolster Logidoo’s presence in Côte d’Ivoire, a hub for regional trade, and support its expansion into other strategic African markets. With operations in eight countries and over 600 clients, Logidoo is poised to play a pivotal role in transforming Africa’s logistics landscape.
