Accelerex Ghana, a pan-African fintech firm, has reached a new milestone after the Bank of Ghana (BoG) issued it an enhanced Payment Service Provider (PSP) license under the Payment Systems and Services Act, 2019. (Act 987). Accelerex Ghana is now the only fintech business in Ghana that offers physical e-payment devices, retailer acquiring, and agency banking solutions under the enhanced PSP category.
The move comes after the company recently received ISO 27001:2013 and PCI-DSS certifications, and it will provide the Ghanaian market with more electronic payment and transaction options through various platforms and channels.

Accelerex Ghana is eyeing the retail sector with its latest innovative products – RexPay and RexRetail – set to launch in Q2 of 2021, buoyed by this big milestone that allows the company to deliver electronic payment platforms and applications, agency banking, merchant payment collections, payment terminal management, and terminal aggregator management systems. These products will help the company expand its presence in Ghana and solidify its status as an e-payments pioneer.
