Play Zuri Health, a Kenyan startup, has launched its Zuri Health mobile app, which aims to provide accredited, affordable and usable healthcare solutions via mobile devices.
Zuri Health enables users to book appointments with any medical professional or hospital within their area immediately, book laboratory tests, talk via message or video to practitioners, and request home visits.
Users will get their prescription and over the counter drugs online in the Pharmacy section of the app and get it delivered to their doorstep.
The app comes with an SMS feature intended to reach a wide range of people or users who may not have access to devices allowed by WAP or the Internet.
“For me, Zuri Health is very personal. In Africa, millions of individuals do not have access to affordable medical treatment. We took time at Zuri Health to create a product that would fill that void, offering a broader and simpler forum for doctors to meet patients who need them. Arthur Ikechukwu Anoke, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of Zuri Health, said that with Zuri Health, the underserved population will now access accessible and sustainable healthcare.
The planned three-year growth plan for the company is to list more than 20,000 registered physicians, 250,000 premium customers, and at least 1,000,000 smartphone downloads.
