Ukheshe Technologies, a digital fintech enablement company based in South Africa, has announced plans to expand globally.

The business has set its sights on the Middle East, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Since establishing itself as a formidable payment technology specialist in the B2B market.

Kenya, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Nigeria, Malawi, Botswana, Angola, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, and Ghana are among the African countries that have benefited from active high-profile projects and collaborations.

Ukheshe Technologies has formed close partnerships with Mastercard while acquiring two companies and raising just under R100 million in less than two years.

In addition to collaborating with various blue-chip banks, telcos, and fintechs.

“We will continue to look for possible acquisitions in these emerging markets to further help Ukheshe’s growth and strategy as we follow our target of unicorn status over the next three years,” says Clayton Hayward, CEO of Ukheshe.

Ukheshe is ecstatic to be at the vanguard of the rapid shift to creative digital-first solutions, especially in markets ripe for disruption.”

Ukheshe recently signed an agreement with KCB Bank Kenya, a Kenyan lender.

In which KCB agreed to sponsor Ukheshe’s Bank Identification Number (BIN) number.

Thus allowing Ukheshe to issue physical and virtual cards across East Africa, where KCB has a large presence to drive financial inclusion.

“Our alliances underpin a common vision on simplicity and accountability in payments while addressing many open loop business opportunities to fuel broader customer adoption,” Mark Dankworth, Executive Director for Ukheshe Africa, says of the company’s growing African footprint.

Apart from its regional African reach, Ukheshe will focus on forming significant long-term partnerships in strategic locations across Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East, and has announced the appointments of Donovan Drew as President: Asia Pacific, Paul Selibas as President Project Engineering, based in Europe, and Chris Pillay as Vice President of Finance.

“As a B2B provider of custom payment solutions, we are proud to create true digital-first banking, while also serving the market with specific financial propositions and assisting organizations in their efforts to improve financial inclusion,” Hayward says.

Ukheshe’s Eclipse API, he continues, is one of the best examples of the company’s continuing evolution and ability to open up new paths to innovation in the payments industry.

“The Eclipse platform neatly encompasses everything from customer and organization management to KYC, digital wallet, QR code acquiring, card issuance, bank incorporation, and cross border remittance, among other things.

It’s a market-leading framework that’s in high demand all over the world. Clients may use Eclipse to build their own custom fintech solution using a trusted fintech enablement platform.”
