Next on the Big 5 Daily, MTN Group donated R250 million to help fight COVID-19 across its business verticals. The Chairman, CEO, CFO, other directors, and staff members contributed to raising the sum by making salary sacrifices.

M-Pesa’s new headquarters will be located in Nairobi post the successful acquisition by South Africa’s Vodacom. Nairobi will also host the new joint venture that will expand M-Pesa into other African markets. 

Good news! Enygma Ventures has launched a R20 million fund to support startups with post-pandemic innovative solutions. The fund was made available by a joint partnership between VC Fund and Startup Circles. 

Google has launched a global emergency relief fund for journalists. The emergency relief fund will be disbursed through the Google News Initiative.
