Bolt, Africa’s on-demand food delivery platform, has named Edgar Kipngetich Kitur as Country Manager for Bolt Food in Kenya, where he will spearhead overall operational excellence and drive development across the country.

In a statement announcing his appointment, Edgar stated that he intends to build a company focused on providing customers with quality, convenience, and affordable service.
“I am excited to expand Bolt’s Food delivery vertical and am committed to transforming Kenya’s food delivery sector through quality services at affordable prices,” Edgar said.
“Despite only being in the market for a few months, we are already providing customers with a diverse range of restaurant brands at competitive prices in Nairobi. “I am excited to see where this challenge will take me and how we will grow Bolt Food together to add value to our customers,” Edgar added.
Edgar previously worked as the VP of strategy at SUPPER London, a food delivery startup, before joining Bolt. His professional career began as a valuation analyst at PWC.
He then joined the commodities trading firm Trafigura (London), where he worked on the trade finance and deals desk, trading oil and petroleum.
Edgar was most recently the Chief of Staff and then CEO of Halkin Group, where he was in charge of Aerospace and Defense.
He was also an entrepreneur in residence at Antler – Global VC and the Co-founder and COO of AiCare, a Telematics InsurTech.
