Uche Ogboi has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Lori Systems, an African e-logistics platform.
Josh Sandler, the company’s co-founder and outgoing CEO, made the announcement.
Sandler will take over as Executive Chairman of Lori’s board of directors. Sandler stated, “I am certain that as CEO, she will lead Lori into a period of extraordinary innovation and success.” “There is no one better to seize the market opportunity and carry out our aim of lowering the cost of goods in frontier markets.”

Lori Systems, a pan-African firm founded in 2016, is Africa’s top e-logistics platform, effortlessly coordinating transportation in frontier markets. The World Economic Forum designated the company as a “Technology Pioneer” in 2020.
Lori is at the forefront of e-logistics companies in Africa, which have become some of the fastest-growing startups in the world.
As Lori’s COO, Ogboi has been instrumental in growing Lori’s Nigeria business by tenfold in less than a year. Loading times and border crossings in East Africa have improved to 6 hours, compared to 72 and 48 hours when Lori began.

Prior to joining Lori, Ogboi worked as a Principal, Investments at EchoVC Partners, a pan-African venture capital firm, where he invested in and scaled firms in a variety of industries and regions.
Ogboi worked as an investment banker at Citi before joining EchoVC, where she was involved in the deployment of approximately $8 billion of money across multiple areas, including Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe.
On July 1, Ogboi will take over as CEO of the company.
