App for messaging and chatting Telegram has finally added group video calling to its mobile and desktop apps.
By tapping the camera icon to switch on your device’s video, voice interactions in any group on the site can be turned into video calls.
Telegram also included a number of new features, including enhanced noise reduction and animated backdrops.
On Telegram’s iOS and Android apps, users can choose from a variety of pre-made animated backgrounds or build their own.
An audio conference can have an unlimited number of participants, but group video calls will be limited to the first 30 persons that join a voice chat, according to Telegram.
According to the company, the limit will be increased soon. During a video call, users can also share their screens.
Telegram has 500 million active users, with many of them migrating to the app after WhatsApp changed its privacy policies.
